ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

B.Voc. (Hardware and Networking) course is being run by the college under UGC Scheme of DeenDayalUpadhyaycenters of Knowledge Acquisition and Up-gradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood (KAUSHAL KENDRAS).The programme curriculum has been designed in close consultation with the industry to prepare entry level and experienced executives for a career in the computer hardware and networking sector. This course will help the students become Hardware and Network Engineers/Administrator who can be observed in software, hardware and networking servicing firms like telecom companies and equipment manufacturing firms. This course will give hand on training to the student considering that student gets an early platform to manage and figure out the complex failures of computer hardware and networkand also manage to find a solution to make it work properly. The curriculum includes general education and skill development components having extensive practical and on-the job training along with periodic industrial visits and industry interactions.

INDUSTRIAL TIE-UPS

Presently, the college has tie-ups for curriculum development and industrial training with four industries. The Industrial partner of this course are National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Mohali, Galactic Infotech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, EkOmkar Infotech, Chandigarh and ShikharInfotel, Chandigarh

ELIGIBILITY

Any student who has passed the +2 examination (any stream) under 10+2+3 system of education of a recognized University/Board/Council or any other examination recognized by Panjab University as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission. Further, students who have already acquired NSQF certificate Level 4 in a particular industry sector are also eligible for admission.
