Services of the College Library
Library Automation:
TThe functions of the library are automated with integrated ERP software named TCSiON comprising different modules Acquisition, Members, Circulations, Stock Management, OPAC (Self Service through login) and Reports. RFID has been implemented in the college library with the integration of ERP software named TCSION and KSMart RFID System from LIBSYS.
WEB-OPAC (WEB ONLINE PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOGUE):
facility for searching documents available in the library. The books can be search by Title, Author, Publisher, and Subject Index.

Online Feedback System:

Online access point for students:
Library is a membership of INFLIBNET N-LIST programme: a college component of e-ShodhSindhu consortium and National Digital Library of India (NDLI). For accessing electronic resources available under INFLIBNET N-LIST, EBSCO Academic Collection, NDLI and McGraw Hill Express Library. The request for accessing resources can also be submitted by sending email to libraryhelpline@ggdsd.ac.in
JAWS Software for Visually Challenged Students
A Windows Screen Reading Software – Job Access With Speech (JAWS) hhas been installed on two computers of digital section for Persons with Disabilities.
Library Resources Awareness Programme (LRAP)
The staff and students are regularly informed through online communication about
- Orientation programs run to increase their awareness of the library services and resources
- New editions of books, new arrivals of journals/e-contents, and other library services & resources under current awareness scheme
INFORMATION SERVICES:
Services like Plagiarism Checking, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) search, Reprographic Service, ILL (Inter Library Loan), Internet Surfing, Current Content Alert, SMS Alert Services, Previous Year Question Papers Alert, Employment News and New Arrival Books are provided to the users of the library.
Inter Library Loan Service (ILLS)
The Library extends support under ILLS to the faculty of our sister institutions & University of Fraser Valley to utilize electronic resources and books. The Prowess IQ access is provided to outside research scholars.
News Clippings Book & Year Book
A collection of scanned clippings for every published news of the college in newspapers as News Clippings Book.
Readers’ Club
Readers Club of College Library motivates students and faculty to read more and more from the library’s collections. To aware them about the various resources and services subscribed by the college library. Readers Club hosts activities like Books Exhibitions, Workshops, Webinars, Talent Hunt competitions.
LIBRARY BLOG
Library blog creates awareness among users about the latest updates on library activities, services, sections, resources, rules & regulations, collections, library forms and books of the month.
PLAGIARISM CHECKING SERVICS
Library offers plagiarism checking services using Ouriginal (Urkund) software to its faculty and research scholars.
