Statistics

About the Department

The subject statistics is being taught in Arts, Science, Bio-science and Commerce at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Department runs a regular course of B.A./B.Sc. Statistics under the semester system and some skill enhancement courses of statistics with MS Excel. Also, the department runs some multi-disciplinary or inter-disciplinary courses for other disciplines under National Education Policy. The main aim of the department is on the enhancement of knowledge of the students about the subject in particular and their overall development in general. For this purpose, various academic activities of small duration have been conducted by the department in the form of seminars on specific topics of the subject and quiz competitions so that students may learn more and be benefitted to improve their skill. Members of Department also attend workshops, conferences/ seminars to update themselves in the subject.
