ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma (GGDSD) College, Chandigarh, established in 1973, is one of the premier institutions of higher learning in North India, affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college has earned a distinguished reputation for its academic excellence, innovative research, and holistic student development. PUNJAB ACADEMY OF SCIENCES (PAS)

The Punjab Academy of Sciences (PAS) came into existence during the 83″ session of the Indian Science Congress at Punjabi University, Patiala in 1996. It provides a platform where senior scientists and young researchers in the region meet and interact in order to share their expertise in different disciplines of Science & Technology. At present this registered body has more than 1670 life members. The academy has conferred its Honorary Fellowship to a number of distinguished scientists from India and abroad, who have significantly contributed towards latest innovations in the field. The academy also confers Life-time achievement award and publishes its annual research journal “Journal of Punjab Academy of Sciences”.

The objective of PAS is to promote original research- especially related to Punjab-and foster inter-disciplinary collaboration among scientists.

ABOUT 29th PUNJAB SCIENCE CONGRESS (PSC-26)

The 29″ Punjab Science Congress is scheduled to be held at GGDSD College, Chandigarh from February 7-9, 2026. Spanning over a period of three days, 29″ Punjab Science Congress, being organized under the aegis of Punjab Academy of Sciences, Patiala will serve as a platform for young, emerging researchers from diverse backgrounds, disciplines, specializations and age groups to showcase their work and foster a culture of knowledge sharing, research and innovation.

CONFERENCE THEME

Focusing on the theme “Cutting Edge Science & Technology: Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat”, The Conference aims to explore the contribution of scientific research towards building of a self-reliant India. To foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation in the pursuit of social and economic development through action-oriented futuristic research for a journey ahead towards a developed nation. PSC- 26 offers a forum to interact, share and innovate ideas and thereby strengthen linkages between academia, industry and policy makers.

CALL FOR ABSTRACT

Participants are cordially invited to submit their original unpublished research contributions in any of the relevant sections of PSC-26 that address the theme of the National Conference. All submitted abstracts will undergo a review process to ensure their quality and relevance. Acceptance will be duly intimated through E-mail.

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT (S) SUBMISSION

  • The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • The abstract should cover the Title of paper; Full name of the author in Capital letters; Affiliation; E-mail of corresponding Author and Contact Number
  • Font – Times New Roman, Font size-12, Single line spacing, Page layout-A4 in MS Word.
  • The section in which the abstract is being submitted must be mentioned in the subject of E-mail.
  • Selected papers will be consider for publication.

There will be parallel technical sessions /presentations for each section. Ten minutes shall be given for Oral presentation (seven minutes for presentation and three minutes for discussion). For Poster presentation, each participant will be provided with a space of 30″ x 36″ inch for displaying the written material, diagrams, photographs etc. Best Poster in each section will be awarded a medal, certificate and a prize of Rs. 2100/-by the Punjab Academy of Sciences.

PRESENTATION (ORAL/POSTER)

For Oral

A special offline session for the presentation of papers for the young scientist award will be held on February 8, 2026. Young scientists up to the age of 35 years on January 15, 2026 may send their abstracts and full length papers to the Secretary, Punjab Academy of Sciences, Union Building, Punjabi University, Patiala, separately on or before January 15, 2026. Name of the Section pertaining to the paper should be clearly mentioned on the envelope.

The academic fiesta will include plenary lectures, open house discussions, oral/poster presentations and ideation revolving around cutting edge technologies and thereby help strengthen linkages and ties.

This conference is multi-disciplinary as per NEP -2020 and will include oral/poster presentations, plenary lectures and panel discussions in the following sections:

Section A- Emerging Innovations for One Health Mission in Environment, Agriculture & Human Health

Section B- Advances in Chemical & Physical Sciences

Section C- New Horizons in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering & Technology

Section D- Recent Trends in Medical, Veterinary, Nursing, Physiotherapy & Pharmaceutical Sciences

Section E- Multi Disciplinary Research in Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat

YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD

One additional Young Scientist award will be given to the person who present his/her research in Punjabi Language. The abstract of this paper should be submitted online at pasciences@gmail.com. The Young scientists (proof of age to be furnished) selected for best presentation will be awarded a certificate of honor, medal and cash prize of Rs. 7500/-.
