In an attempt to better ‘know yourself’ and choose a tool which will help you steer towards academic excellence and make more informed decisions related to career and personal growth. The Career Guidance and Counseling Cell will have a myriad career counseling programs for the students of the college. A person’s career is one of the most important life activities occupying nearly half of an adult life. When enjoyed, a career can bring satisfaction and happiness, contribute to higher self-esteem, and ultimately aid to a healthy life adjustment. When work is disliked, a person can experience stress, boredom, tension, frustration, low self-esteem, and even physical illness. To a great degree work determines our individual identity and worth and can influence our self-concept, work is a means by which adults connect with the world around them. In the current time of cut throat competition, high stress levels, sky rocketing aspirations, unstable personal relationships and weak social support system, students are being subjected to much more tensions than they can handle.
To provide career as well as psychological counseling to students, the counseling cell of the college plays a significant role. During admissions, the counseling cell offers valuable career guidance to students to help them choose the right subject combinations in conjunction with their aptitude and attitude. Through year round career counseling programs, students are scientifically tested for their individual potentials with the help of psychometric tests and measures. Detailed profiles of students are prepared and personalized counseling sessions are conducted absolutely free of cost.
Besides the above, the Counseling Cell offers ready help and guidance to students for any other problem that they might face, thereby smoothening their journey in the college and preparing them for their future lives ahead.

With the motive to help people get rid of feelings of distress, isolation and helplessness, team Hum-Dum- a group of students of the department of psychology under the supervision of Dr tarundeep had started a helpline where they were available to assist people with emotional and mental support. This team consists of psychology interns determined to help all the people from all age groups that have been affected by any aspect of the global pandemic. They had made themselves available to the general public through social handles like Instagram, facebook etc. for people to reach out to them. this service was provided free of cost and motivational posts and messages were updated regularly on social media handles to kep the spirits of people high. This group further registered themselves as a non-profit NGO, and the department is working on training interns, further.
