Focused on promoting Punjabi language, literature, and arts, the club organizes events such as poetry readings, book launches, discussion forums, and workshops. It also provides a platform for emerging writers to share their work and receive feedback, helping to cultivate a new generation of literary talent. Whether through the timeless poetry of iconic figures like Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Waris Shah, Bulleh Shah, Shiv kumar Batalvi and other modern writers or through contemporary voices, the Shiv Kumar Batalavi Society fosters an appreciation for both classical and modern Punjabi literature. The Shiv Kumar Batalavi Society also seeks to bridge the gap between different generations, encouraging a dialogue between traditional literary forms and new creative expressions, thus keeping the spirit of Punjabi culture and language alive for future generations.

Joining Process

The criterion for the selection of members for Shiv Kumar Batalvi Society;

  • Google Forms (D.A.F.): A detailed application form DAF is released for the students who are willing to join Shiv Kumar Batalvi Society.
  • Interview: The students whose form is selected are called for an interview on the basis of their interaction in the interview. The final selection of volunteers is done.
  • Student Executive Committee: Out of the total volunteers, the most active volunteers are selected for a five-member executive committee, including the President, General Secretary, Vice President, and two Joint Secretaries.
