A webinar on Commercialization of Research and Intellectual property Rights was organized by the Department of Biotechnology and Institution Innovation Cell, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Chandigarh. Dr. B.K Sahu, Regional Manager & Head, IPFC, National Research Development Corporation, New Delhi acted as the resource person and highlighted the role of NRDC in commercialization of research in India. He talked about technology transfer and Innovation encouragement schemes available for students and faculty. He demonstrated various case studies related to successful biotechnological technology transfer.  Further Dr. Rahul Taneja, Scientist, Haryana State Council for Science and Technology, Panchkula sensitized the participants with various aspects of intellectual properties including patents, copyrights and trademarks. His talk included identification of IP rights at early stages of innovations. This interactive webinar was concluded by a vote of thanks by Dr. Navneet Batra, Coordinator, Institution Innovation Cell, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Chandigarh. The event was attended by over 100 students, faculty members and innovators.
