Department of Geography is organizing a webinar on Green Revolution and Agrarian Crisis in Punjab will be held on 18th December, 2020 at 11.00 AM Webinar on Green Revolution and Agrarian Crisis in Punjab A Webinar on “Green Revolution and Agrarian Crisis in Punjab” was organized by the Department of Geography, GGDSD College, Sector 32, here today. Prof. Simrit Kahlon, Department of Geography, Panjab University, was the key speaker. She gave a historical perspective of the agricultural crisis that India is facing today. She elaborated upon the ills plaguing agriculture in Punjab and the political, economic and legal challenges that the farmers deal with on a daily basis. “Even though the farmer seems to be prosperous, he is actually spending more than his capacity in keeping with the open-hearted culture of Punjab”, she said.
