HR Conclave: New Recruiting Technologies

The eminent personalities from Academia included Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor Raj Kumar, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dean, College Development Council, Professor Sanjay Kaushik, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The eminent speakers from Corporate sector were Mr. C S Sudheer, CEO, IndianMoney.com; Mr. Kenneth Jeyseelan R B, Assistant Vice President-HR, TCS; Mr Collin Bruno, HR Talent Acquisition, HCL Technologies; Ms Julie Krubhavathi, Senior Manager-HR, EC Group Datasoft (P) Ltd; Mr Vinoth Kumar, HR-Manager, Mcwane India (P) Ltd; Mr Debasis Satpathy, General Manager-HR, NBCC; Mr Vijayan KA, Head Academic Operations and Mr. Anand Babu , Senior Manager, ICT Academy along with President Sh. Upkar Krishan Sharma, GGDSD college managing society and Dr. K L Dhingra, Director, PMLSD Business School. Principal Dr. Balraj Thapar welcomed all the dignitaries for being associated with this event and highlighted the importance of new recruiting technologies to the participants. The speakers from industry focused on various fundamental and technological driven factors in the domain of HR like:1.Creating a jobs rather than seeking jobs and development of skills; 2.Building the intellectual capabilities not only through teaching-learning but by observing and thinking; 3.Focusing on sharpening intellectual skills by balancing with academics; 4.Self-branding and self-motivation; 5.Using CLAP and SWOT analysis for adapting the required skill set for winning a job; 6.Learning how to represent yourself; 7.Learning new technical skills like Big data , AI, Virtual Reality, Block Chain, Applicant Tracking System; 8.Grabbing the best advantage of summer training; emphasizing on joining club activities; 9.Sharpening the skill sets in the domain of interpersonal skills; 10.Creation of new intellectual jobs due to technology vis a vis elimination of clerical jobs; 11.Reducing the employability gap by uplifting skill set; 12.Using the best advantage of online web portals designed for learning and job application; 13.Maintaining a healthy balance between inner self and social environment. The conclave was concluded with a valedictory note by Professor Sanjay Kaushik on the need to understand the changing dimensions of HR and the need for continuously upgrading the cognitive and behavioral domains.
